You can become the next Governor, Senator, Commissioner or Councilor. It is entirely up to you, and we will help you make your dream come true. We have provided you with a platform to showcase the talent in you.
Once you complete the academic and technical curriculum under the PSPC or PSEC programme, we will invite you for an interview to find out what next is in store for you.
Interestingly, elections are coming up in several countries over the next two years.
- Have you given it some thought?
- Can you become that change you desire?
- Can you contest for a ticket in the next round of elections?
- How will you go about it?
- Can you afford to or afford not to?
We will help you answer these questions throughout the process. We want to help people who feel that politics is about money rather than policy. The power is in the people when they organize and put the strength of their ideas to work together. Those who have done this have successfully made the changes to their lives.
We will use our platform for fundraising for you once we discover you are the correct type of candidate. We are convinced there are many like you out there thinking about these questions right now. And we want to help you make those decisions in a way that will improve the standards of millions of the people you care for.
To become a guardian of your community in its strict meaning requires that you receive the necessary training for this role.
Plato (428BC) rightly argued that in any walk of life other than politics, the people look for expertise. Whether it is a building project or any such technical subject, the expert is consulted. But when the debate is to do with the country’s government, the man who gets up to advise them may be a builder, a blacksmith, a shoemaker, or soldier, rich or poor, of good family or none. Whereas, if the field were architecture or medicine, we would expect an understanding of the art, evidence of competence, and successful experience. He concludes that the state of the society reflects our inability to appoint those to lead with the correct expertise for guardianship of a community.
Recognizing this, we have provided a platform where you must undertake our PSPC or PSEC programme to use our platform to participate in any leadership position. It is the only way we can be sure that past mistakes will not repeat themselves.
The Vice President of Nigeria had this message for the youth in June 2021; more than his words are needed, but he will be pleased to know that we have been working on the strength of our ideas for the last ten years. Yes, that is the amount of time and commitment one needs to put together projects like this that makes change possible in any part of the world today. It is like building an underground tunnel beneath the Atlantic ocean from Africa to the shores of Europe.
He says that
“Don’t Just say it is time for the youth to run this country and that older people must just give way. It is highly unlikely that that will happen. It is the strength of your ideas and the depth of your organization that will retire those ahead of you, not your age. I am also, frankly, not very impressed with a notion that the role and power of young people are somehow postponed until elders have gone or that there is some kind of a generational cue to which we all must subscribe. Even if that was true at some point in our history, today that notion stands on very weak legs indeed”.
Leadership starts from the grassroots. The gatekeeper at your local government office is a leader and so many more like him. And remember, not everyone has what it takes to engage in academic rigour, just as not every one should lead. We have provided a platform to train you for participation in the democratic process.
For clarity on this topic and what we need to do to change the future, please refer to Unit 8.7: NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR THE CESSATION OF ABDUCTIONS, BANDITRY AND SEPARATIST AGITATIONS (ps2.education). It is free to preview; go to the curriculum under the How to Avoid and Prepare for Banditry and Kidnapping course and click on unit 8.7. It contains more than the heading would suggest.
Good Luck; we look forward to meeting in class
